We are very excited to welcome Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel. America’s Ukulele Sweethearts are bringing their unique combination of Hawaiian-inspired jazz, folk & pop music to the UK. They’ve wowed audiences around the world with their playful, skilful and engaging performances. This will be their last visit to these shores for a while so be sure to catch them!

They will be running their London workshops on the evening of
Monday 30 October
at the Horse and Stables, Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1.
The first workshop with Sarah – Beginning Chord Melody (intermediate) will be from 6:30-8pm.
The next, with Craig – The Percussive Side of ‘Ukulele (all levels) will be from 8:30-10pm.
About Sarah Maisel:
Sarah Maisel is renowned for bringing the jazz stylings of golden age Hawai’i songs and arrangements to her performances. She has been inspired by ‘ukulele legends like Lyle Ritz, Benny Chong and Byron Yasui. Born and raised in Alabama and now based in San Diego, she has studied under some true ‘ukulele legends including Frank Leong. Sarah found a passion of teaching and performing with the ‘ukulele and was quickly featured at many ‘ukulele festivals around the world.
About Craig Chee:
Born and raised on Oahu, Craig Chee worked under Jake Shimabukuro and Troy Fernandez, and has become a world-renowned ‘ukulele performer & teacher in his own right. Craig’s playing is described as, “energetic and just plain fun” and spans many genres of music.
About the Performing Duo:
Craig and Sarah discovered a similar passion and work ethic and as of September, 2015 are now married! They have made an incredible splash in the ‘ukulele scene with their complementing styles and vocal harmonies. Craig and Sarah have been featured at ‘Ukulele Festivals and events all over the world including Cairns and the Sunshine Coast (Australia), Cheltenham and Huddersfield (United Kingdom), Vancouver (Canada), Tokyo (Japan), Reno (NV), Bend (OR), Morristown (NJ), Ft Lauderdale (FL), Tampa Bay (FL), Seattle (WA), Eugene (OR), Honolulu (HI) and more. Both feel very fortunate to have been featured on the cover of ‘Ukulele Magazine. Their love of teaching has blossomed into a successful Online ‘Ukulele School with Artistworks; the joy for music and teaching always follows them wherever they travel.

Full transparency: The ones that got the most votes on the evening of Sunday 22 October are the ones we are running with for on Monday 30 October. Craig and Sarah will be running a workshop each, and there were full descriptions of each of their workshops, so you’ve had 2 votes (one each for Craig and Sarah) to add your choice to.
