If you’ve always fancied covering your favourite song or recording your own original material (and maybe even uploading it to YouTube) but want to be a bit more creative, this workshop will get you started. You’ll see how it’s done then put it into practice and make your very own (group) music video with some special production magic from Elena. About Low-Key Ukulele:
Low-Key Ukulele (Elena to those in the know), has been making music, filming videos, and uploading them YouTube, just like the one below for the last year. She’s learnt from scratch and will show you the ropes, as she is a qualified teacher of Secondary Education. Music and media have always been her big passion so she’ll love getting you started by getting you to star in our own music video. 🙂 She can also show you how to add a range of percussion, starting with the egg shaker, spoons and glockenspiel.
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:
With a maximum of 20 people in a class, this workshop will show you how to and actually record your first music video in class (and upload it to YouTube) without the need for sophisticated recording equipment. All you need is a video phone and a tablet/laptop! This class will be a great way to get your creative juices flowing, meet new people, make/star in a music video.

What an amazing class I cant wait to do another. We were shown how to record our own video and edit it, we had tips on how to make it more interesting, how to correct mistakes (in the unlikely event that we made any), free software we can use and also how we can get very good recordings on an average smart phone. We were shown how to create an account on You Tube, how to avoid copyright issues and how to upload our final masterpiece.
After the talk we put it all into practice.
With direction from our creative director (Elena) we recorded the raw footage that would make up our final cut after some deft editing before it was uploaded.

What a fun evening - I haven’t laughed so much in ages, I would really recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to create their own videos or for those who are just interested in the process. A perfect evening: great company, playing, singing, messing around and some serious technical instructions (with mini handbook).

In just under 2 hours, you’ll be amazed as what you can achieve together with Elena and what valuable information you can get. Derek has already describe in details so I won’t say more except that if you like interactive and fun class, this is definitely IT.
