Tutorial/playthrough and/or Party| 7 Nov | 7:30-10pm |£10/£5 | NW1
We are coming of age. We are very excited to celebrate Learn To Uke turning 10! We’d love you to join us (Lorraine, Laura, Amanda, Howard, Graham, and Emily) to help us celebrate.
So you know, there are limited spaces and you’ll need ID to gain entry to the building. It’s on the 18th floor. As the sun sets, if it’s not cloudy, with weather caveats considered, and on a wing and a prayer, hopefully, the view should be a corker. We’ll have fizz to welcome you so that we can toast, and party snacks, but it is, ostensibly a bring your own booze/refreshments situation so please bring a tipple of your fancy and if you’ll want more substantial food, please feel free to bring. Don’t miss your chance… Book your ticket now!
Thursday 7 November near to Warren Street tube, NW1. Venue TBC when you’ve booked.
There are 2 parts to the evening
6:30-7:30pm – Carol of the Bells/festive Playthrough/filming:
We would like to try out a version of Carol of the Bells and another few festive songs in a strum along. You’ll get a tutorial in your inbox on 26 October. There will be different parts that you can play, with parts that are suitable for different abilities/choices you make based on your available time, so you’ll have 2 weeks to practice and then we’ll play through together in-person for the first hour. We’d like to film a Xmas number or two for the LTU YouTube, but you are welcome to sit out filming if you’re not keen on being on film.
7:45-10pm – Learn To Uke is 10 celebration, social and strum/sing:
This celebration is for all abilities of ukulele player (ideally who’s attended a Learn To Uke 4 week course, or one of our workshops). If you’ve enjoyed anything we’ve put on over the last 10 years, we would love to see you. Even if it’s been a while since we last saw you, it’ll be fab to see you and toast prior to the silly season. :)
